About me

My name is Alberto Evangelista and I am a professional genealogist.

My passion for genealogy was born almost by chance during a summer spent in Puglia, at my paternal grandparents' house. Intrigued by family tales, I began to reconstruct the ties between my numerous ancestors, drafting a first family tree to avoid losing the thread of the interviews with my grandparents. What started as a simple curiosity grew rapidly, leading me to attend courses at the Istituto Araldico Genealogico Italiano to acquire a rigorous and professional method.

After identifying several hundred relatives, I drafted huge family trees for friends, interviewing the elderly, listening to untold stories, visiting cemeteries, archives and offices, solving various family mysteries.

My professional journey began in the IT world: I attended university until, during COVID, I preferred to dedicate myself full-time to working as a website developer.

On March 18, 2025, I decided to embark on the path of a professional genealogist, so in September of the same year, my project took the name of Studio Esistenze. (In Italian, "Studio" means both a professional agency and the act of studying. Thus, my agency is dedicated to the study of existences). What started as a personal curiosity about my origins has turned into a profession dedicated to restoring memory.

• ➤ Patience and empathy: While applying a strictly scientific method, I listen to every story with deep humanity, kindness and respect, because my ultimate goal is to make people feel good by reconnecting them with the truth of their origins.
